At The Vein Institute of Toronto™, these features of our protocol separate us from other clinics. Each has been perfected in our clinic, over many years.

  • Your individual needs determine our choice of laser.
  • Micro-puncture technique eliminates invasive surgical incision.
  • Tumescent anesthesia apposes the vein to the laser fiber decreasing the chance of recurrence.
Patient’s Needs Determine Our Choice of Specific Lasers

Very few clinics offer two types of lasers for endovenous laser treatments. We use two of the best lasers available. Based on characteristics of the patient's venous system (and in particular the veins to be treated), we select the most appropriate laser.

Angiodynamics Venacure 1470 nm Laser

We have introduced the Angiodynamics Venacure ™ EVLT™ 1470 nm endovenous laser into our practice, and are one of a few clinics in Canada to have this new technology. The benefits of this laser are reduced bruising and discomfort after EVLT ™ due to the higher 1470 nm wavelength, which reduces recovery time and increases patient comfort. Our Dornier D940 laser has a patented LPS system to ensure continuous uninterrupted endovenous laser treatment with a built in feedback loop.
